Tricia Swanson
Tricia Swanson was born in Washington D.C and is a graduate of Utah Opera’s Young Artist Program. She has sung many leading roles in her career, including Laurie in Copland’s The Tender Land, Lucy in Menotti’s The Telephone, Kitty in Where’s Charly, Tzeital in Fiddler on the Roof, Queen in Cinderella, Mother in Hansel and Gretel, Sandman in Hansel and Gretel, Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitor, Nella in Gianni Schicchi, 2nd Lady in The Magic Flute, Mimi in La Boheme, Ann Truelove in The Rake’s Progress and Mary’s Aunt in Savior of the World. She also played lead roles in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance and H.M.S. Pinafore.
Her Oratorio experience includes Soprano soloist in the Messiah, Bach Magnificat, Schubert’s Mass in G, and Bach The Passion According to St. John. Tricia is a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and a frequent soloist. She has soloed in the Kennedy Center and the Lincoln Center. For the past 28 years, Tricia has performed educational music programs in the elementary schools all over Utah with ARTS Inc. Tricia is a voice teacher in Sandy. She and her husband Jeff have 5 children and 10 fabulous grandchildren. |
